Near
infrared photography involves the capture of lightwaves just
beyond the visible range of red light, wavelengths greater than
780nm. A popular misconception is that near infrared photography
is thermal imaging, it isn't. nIR photography is actually NEAR
infrared photography. Thermal imaging measures the far end of
the infrared range.
